STOP WHITEWASHING ROXANNE WEASLEY AND FRED II WEASLEY! Its fucking annoying, racist, and offensive. Actually stop doing it to all the HP characters of color. That includes, Cho Chang, the Patil twins, Lee Jordan, Blaise Zabini, Angelina Johnson, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Alicia Spinnet, Fred II Weasley, Roxanne Weasley. CUT IT OUT! Oh by the way, using Spanish, Indian, or any other POC to portray HP characters of color that aren’t Spanish, Indian, etc doesn’t make you not racist. That makes you even more racist.
Racism in my favorite Harry Potter tags is making my blood boil. The worst part is that people pretend like their opinions aren’t based on race. Racism is bad but covert racism is disgusting. I will set Tumblr on fire if I see another post about how Angelina replaced Fred with George. Losing a sibling, especially a twin, is a horrible experience that no one should have to go through. That being said, do you really believe George was never happy ever again? I mean, do you believe that in spite of the fact J.K. Rowling said that he was happy? Also, can we please acknowledge that Fred Weasley II and Roxanne are biracial! Please cast your dreamcast accordingly. That is if you acknowledge them at all, most people don’t. I’ve actually seen whole dreamcast with the complete extended Weasley grand kids except for them. Seriously? Frankly, it is kind of revolting to see people claim to love George/the Weasley family, but have such a dismissive regard for his wife and children. I only have a handfull of ethic characters to look up too in the HP verse. Fandom, please quit shitting on them. I feel like I have to make a post like this once a month. It’s getting old.
I definitely have plans to re-blog posts you wrote during that debacle! For the most part, I’m waiting until I hit at least 50 followers before I post more of the substantial discussion material so that it can reach as wide an audience as possible — but that should be soon enough, according to my numbers.
